Size Guide and Care
SIZE GUIDE
To know your head size you need a tape measure and measure like this (hair loose if it is long):
- The tape should go through the center of your forehead and around your head by the occipital bone (the bump at the back of your head).
- As with any measurement taken for the rest of the body, the tape measure should fit around the head without being loose or too tight.
- The measurement you receive will be the one to communicate when ordering, the hat will then be made taking into account the shape and ease planned for each model.
If you don't have a tape measure you can use a non-stretchy cord.
If you do not wish to take this measurement yourself or are unsure about the measurement you have taken, you can visit a hat shop where you can ask for information about your size.
Each Mamité hat is made to order based on your head size, which is why it is very important to take this measurement as carefully as possible in order to to ensure the hat fits you perfectly!

HAT CARE
Hats can easily become deformed when stored improperly. To ensure this does not happen, the stored hat should not be subject to any stress, crushing, pulling, folding, etc.
FELT
Felts with a melusine (hairy) or taupe (velvet) finish can be gently brushed to "style" the hairs. I recommend using a new shoe brush.
Light rain or humidity should not alter the shape of the hat, however it is strongly recommended to avoid exposing it to water and/or high humidity.
STRAW
To prevent the straw from becoming brittle, it is advisable to lightly spray the hat with water using a mist sprayer. It is advisable to do this at least once a week during periods of regular use and high heat ! The straw will then retain its flexibility and the hat will remain as good as new!
